Created by the Compostela Group of Universities with materials provided by the University of Pécs.

University students have until 1 April 2023 to register for this activity, which combines training sessions with cultural experiences.

The University of Pécs organises in its campus the European Studies Summer School on 9-22 July 2023. During the two weeks, those enrolled will broaden their perspectives on the factors contributing to the construction of contemporary Europe, among others, migration, cultural diversity, and gender issues.

Through the training programme, students will study the political, economic, cultural and social achievements and challenges of the European Union. Moreover, they will expand their knowledge on topics such as European art history, gastronomy and folk traditions. They will also participate in social events such as an intercultural evening, a quiz night, a wine-tasting program, pairing wine with traditional Hungarian meals and various team-building sessions. Likewise, they will experience Hungarian folk traditions and visit Siklós Spa and Lake Orfű.

The sessions included in the programme will be taught in English by internationally renowned professors and those who pass the evaluation will obtain six ECTS credits.
