Natalia Seco, lecturer at the University of Vigo and researcher at the University of Santiago de Compostela, recently completed a teaching stay at Karlstad Business School (Sweden) through the Erasmus+ programme. The visit builds on long-standing academic and administrative links between Karlstad University and the Galician universities, all members of the Compostela Group.
Seco taught in the International and European Union Law course, focusing on legal advances in combating violence against women and offering a comparative view of Spain and Sweden. Her areas of expertise include international crimes of sexual and gender-based violence, EU law and international environmental law.
“This was a truly enriching experience, both for me and the students,” said Professor Seco. Carina Eriksson, international strategist at Karlstad University, emphasised the value of these exchanges in bringing international perspectives into teaching and research.
The visit was part of an Erasmus+ teaching assignment, framed within the ongoing cooperation among members of the Compostela Group of Universities.
