The Cátedra do Camiño de Santiago e das Peregrinacións offers three trainings on the Jacobean route in the modality of Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). The training programme, which is accessible through the MIRIADAX platform, is organised jointly with the University of Santiago de Compostela.

The courses deal with various topics related to this cultural route and are open to anyone interested in learning, as no previous knowledge is required. Each of them consists of four modules, comprising pre-recorded theory lessons in different places of Galicia linked to the Camino and practice-based activities proposed by the university teachers.

The first of them, El Camino de Santiago, Patrimonio de la Humanidad para un mundo global course aims to bring participants closer to the cultural, historical and spiritual phenomenon of the pilgrimages to Compostela. During the six weeks of training, participants will delve into topics related to the history, heritage, literature and economy of the Jacobean route.

The second, El Camino de Santiago, enfoques didácticos multidisciplinares addresses its pedagogical potential for disciplines such as Art, Geography, Sociology, Tourism or Music. The third, El Camino de Santiago en las redes sociales focuses on the relationship between culture and these communication platforms, exploring the possibilities they bring for the dissemination of knowledge.
