The host of the event, the University of Santiago de Compostela, will welcome the network members from 13 to 14 September 2021 in the capital of the region of Galicia (Spain).

The members of the Executive Committee of the Compostela Group of Universities (CGU), who met online on 11 May, opted for a return of the in-person attendance at the XXVII General Assembly of the network. This annual meeting of the members will take place from 13 to 14 September at the University of Santiago de Compostela, coinciding with the celebration of the Holy Year Xacobeo 2021.

Besides, the event organisers will set up an online participation system to facilitate the attendance of those representatives of the member universities who are unable to travel.

Soon, the rectors of the universities of the network will receive the official invitation to the event and information on the logistical details of the event. For the time being, you can check the programme of the XXVII General Assembly of the CGU on the website. As usual, the first day will be devoted to the General Council meeting, while the second day will concentrate on the academic sessions. Thus, the Compostela Dialogues in Higher Education will focus this year on the challenge of linking humanistic and scientific-technical studies. As for the Compostela Café, they will analyse how to build universities for the future.

The event will also include the awarding ceremonies for the XXV International Prize Grupo Compostela-Xunta de Galicia, X International Video Contest and V Research Pitches Contest of the CGU.
