The CGU will actively participate in the 5th Meeting of Cultural Route Managers of the Council of Europe organised by the Spanish Government and to be held in Huelva from 23 to 25 March 2026.
The meeting will bring together managers and coordinators of cultural routes from across Europe to share experiences and best practices in cultural heritage management. The GCU’s participation will focus on the first thematic session, scheduled for Tuesday 24 March, dedicated to research in the context of cultural routes.
Topics to be addressed include the role of research in heritage interpretation, platforms and channels for sharing specialized information, collaborative and interdisciplinary methodologies, and cooperation models among administrations, research centers, and cultural organizations. The Ministry of Culture will cover the travel and accommodation costs for the GCU representative.
This invitation highlights the GCU’s role as an academic actor in European networks and projects related to cultural heritage and cultural routes.
