Stella Chair
2026 CALL
After five years of development and success, the new edition of the Stella Chair is open to all CGU member universities to serve as host institutions and provide support for the academic promotion and funding of mobility for visiting professors and researchers.
PARTICIPATION
Universities
CGU member universities may submit placement offers to host visiting professors and researchers within an academic department, along with an institutional collaborative funding proposal, through the Stella Chair offer form.
The deadline for sending applications is 5 April 2026 (12:00 PM – noon. Mainland Spain time zone).
The call is aimed at all university departments in general, and especially at those with lower participation in mobility activities.
The offers received will be published and promoted within the CGU among the academic community.
Applicants
Academic staff with an active employment relationship at a CGU member university may apply for a visiting mobility placement that best matches their profile, after confirming that they meet the specific participation requirements of the position they wish to apply for.
Applications must be submitted in the language specified for each position (English or Spanish) through the Stella Chair application form.
The call for applicants will open once the deadline for institutions to submit their mobility offers has passed.
Mobility management
Processing
The processing of the mobility programme will be carried out by the CGU executive secretariat: the reception and review of applications, communication with the applicant, publication of results, and assessment of objective merits, among other administrative tasks.
Selection
The selection of the mobility will be carried out by the university department with the support of the CGU, in accordance with the criteria stated in the placement offer.
Publication
The resolution will be published on this website and notified to the beneficiary. It will also be promoted through the network’s communication channels.
Funding and expense justification
The Stella Chair mobilities are managed through direct funding provided by the host universities to the beneficiary, under the terms agreed.
