Stella Junior programme
The mobility and training programme for students of the Compostela Group of Universities, Stella Junior, offers them the opportunity to undertake professional mobility, get in touch with other cultures and increase their language and professional skills. Since the initiative was launched in 2011, around 100 undergraduate and graduate students from the CGU member universities have been able to expand their knowledge and skills within its framework.
Annually, our network opens a call for applications for grants under the Stella Junior programme. Through the awarding of these grants, students can further in the development of their skills and abilities with the help of the training stays in the departments of the CGU member university.

Target group and requirements
The CGU members and associate entities and their students can participate in this mobility and training programme.
Students must still be linked to their home university at the time of their mobility.
Grants and funding
The economic allocation of the call is 11,000 euros, which will be distributed through individual grants until the budget is exhausted and will be distributed among individual continental and intercontinental mobility grants (up to a maximum of 6 for each type and one per person).
Mobility period and area
Mobility must last a minimum of 10 calendar days and must start in 2026.
Some institutions would allow those who participate to choose a mobility period, while others would detail a specific one. They will also define the areas in which they offer the placements.
All this information will be available to applicants in the placement offers.

Students and member institutions interested in taking part in the programme must read the guidelines for the call carefully.
Timeline
- Before 3 March 2026. Deadline for the submission of the communication of coordinator form.
- 3 March 2026 (12:00 PM – noon. Spanish Peninsular time). Deadline for the submission of placement offers.
- Before the end of March 2026. Publication of the placement offers.
- 20 April 2026 (12:00 PM- noon. Spanish Peninsular time). Deadline for the submission of applications.
- May-June 2026. Publication of the resolution.
- July-December 2026. Eligible period for mobility.
- December 2026. Justification and end of activity.

CGU universities wishing to offer their training and placement proposals for CGU students should apply by filling in the following form.

CGU students who wish to apply for a mobility in 2026 should apply here, once the offers are published.
Selection
The selection of mobility programmes in this edition is carried out by the CGU and the host departments. The assessment of applications will take into account the participation requirements and the objective and curricular merits of the applicants.
