The Compostela Group of Universities (GCU) has launched the 2025–2026 call for its Erasmus+ KA171-HED project (ref. 2024-1-ES01-KA171-HED-000239621), funded by the European Union and aimed at promoting the mobility of recent bachelor’s and master’s graduates from higher education institutions in Region 10 in the Americas to the Spanish universities of the Erasmus+ KA130-HED Consortium for GCU EU–America Mobility

The application period is now open until 2 March 2026 for the universities of Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, Universidade da Coruña, University of Oviedo, and University of León to submit their mobility places for traineeships in the fields of New Technologies, Emerging Technologies, Earth Sciences, Environment, Renewable Energies, Social Responsibility, or International Politics.

Afterwards, students from the higher education institutions Universidad de Oriente (UNIVO), Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua, and the Corporación para Investigaciones Biológicas (CIB) will be able to apply for a mobility to carry out curricular traineeships in a physical modality with a virtual component, between May and December 2026, depending on the offer available to them.

The mobilities will be implemented with an inclusive approach to support the participation of individuals who, due to personal circumstances or characteristics, may face barriers to undertaking international mobility.
