The Compostela Group of Universities supports the photo exhibition ‘The Way of St. James and European identity’, which can be visited in the Colegio de Fonseca in Santiago de Compostela (Spain) from 19 July until 31 September 2019.

After the fall of the Iron Curtain in 1989, the links between Pilsen (Czech Republic) and Regensburg revived. In addition, new relationships were cultivated between the institutions of both cities. This photo exhibition, born out of them, summarizes in images the Czech-German pilgrimage that took place on the occasion of the biannual general meeting of the German Catholics in 2014. That year a group of pilgrims walk the section that links the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, with the German town of Regensburg.

One of the member universities of the CGU, the University of Regensburg, participates in the organisation of this exhibition. Besides, the University of Santiago de Compostela collaborates with them.
