The Autonomous University of Chiapas (UNACH) invites the academic community to the first webinar of the 2026 edition of the Webinars on Trends in Higher Education (WTES) series, dedicated to the internationalisation of higher education and public policies in Latin America. The event will be held online and will feature contributions from specialists from several countries in the region.

Through its General Coordination for Inter-Institutional Relations, Autonomous University of Chiapas (UNACH) announces the webinar entitled Internationalisation of Higher Education: Public Policies in Latin America, which will take place on 28 January 2026 via the Zoom platform, with simultaneous streaming on Facebook.

The objective of the event is to present and analyse the findings of the study Internationalisation of Higher Education: Public Policies in Latin America, published in the ANUIES Documents series, with particular attention to the cases of Argentina, Ecuador, Panama, and Uruguay. The webinar also seeks to create a space for reflection to deepen understanding of how these policies influence the design and strengthening of internationalisation strategies in the region.

The academic programme includes contributions on:

  • the main findings of the study,
  • the analysis of internationalisation public policies in the countries examined,
  • and the overall conclusions of the project,
    as well as a final Q&A session open to participants.

The webinar will take place from 10:00 to 12:30 (Mexico City time), with free access via the Zoom registration link or through the livestream on the Facebook page of the UNACH Inter-Institutional Relations Coordination.
