Violeta Osouchová is the Director of the Centre for International Studies at Masaryk University (Czech Republic). Her main duty is to co-define the international policy of the university and to guarantee and coordinate the internationalization process at the University, including international outgoing and incoming mobility, internationalization at home, international marketing, participation in university networks, and preparation of short-term programmes, among other tasks of responsibility.
She finished her Master’s degree at the Technical University in Sofia (Bulgaria). In 2001, she joined the newly established Office for International Studies of Masaryk University as the Head of the Financial Department. Later on, between 2013 and 2022, she was the Head of the Division for Strategy and International Marketing division at the same university.
With a background in the field of Economics and Administration, Ing. Osouchova has been coordinating various projects like Erasmus Mundus, Erasmus Capacity Building in Higher Education, and others. She has been serving as an adviser for Joint Programmes providing supervision and support to Masaryk University’s faculty members and, in that role, has been actively engaged in the JOIMAN network group, dealing with Joint Programmes at the Master level and related to cooperation outside the European Union.
In that same line of work, she has been one of the trainers for the Master Joint Programme in the project JOI.CON as well as the main coordinator for the new European Digital UniverCity (EDUC) at Masaryk University, where one of the main activities of the consortium is to support virtual and blended mobility.
Ing. Osouchová is a skilled senior manager well suited to share her experiences with her colleagues due to her longstanding work in an international environment.
