Twenty-eight CGU and CONAHEC member universities offer 71 positions in their departments within the mobility programme for service staff of the Compostela Group of Universities.
The 2023 call of the Stella for Staff mobility programme of the Compostela Group of Universities (CGU) registers an increase of 26% in relation to the offer for exchanges in the previous one. Specifically, this year the participating institutions submitted through the online form 71 placements compared to 56 in the last.
These placements come from 55 departments in the internationalisation, libraries, human resources, academic and cultural management, communication and marketing, and faculty and student support areas.
Moreover, the positive trend in institutional participation continues, with a slight increase of 12%. This year, 28 member universities of the CGU and the Consortium for North American Higher Education Collaboration (CONAHEC) took part in this first phase, whereas in 2022, there were 25.
The involved institutions are located in Brazil, Germany, Spain, Hungary, Mexico, Peru, Poland, the United Kingdom, the Slovak Republic, the Republic of Serbia and the Dominican Republic.
The opening of the submission of applications
Last Thursday saw the start of the second phase of the programme, in which service staff from both networks can apply for these mobility offers and for the 16 grants awarded by the CGU. Only staff from CGU member universities will be eligible to receive one of these grants, which have a financial endowment of 1,000 euros each.
Applications must be submitted by 10 March 2023 (12:00 PM – noon. Spanish Peninsular time) using the online form available on the Stella for Staff webpage, where exchange places are also published.
After the deadline for submission, the CGU Executive Secretariat will review the documentation received and will open a period for remedying the shortcomings.
Once this process has been completed, the selection committee will evaluate the applications and designate the beneficiaries of the grants and mobility. The Compostela Group of Universities will soon publish the composition of this committee on its website.
