Researchers from the CGU member universities can submit their applications to the network’s VI Research Pitches Contest until 8 April 2022.

The Compostela Group of Universities (CGU) disseminated in November 2021 the VI call for its Research Pitches Contest, inviting doctoral students and researchers from the higher education institutions affiliated with the network to participate. Those who wish to submit their applications should do so via the electronic form available on the page of this activity. They will also find the guidelines for the call, which specify the documentation to be submitted for participation and information about the requirements to be met by their video presentations.

Concerning the signing of the letters of support, the Executive Secretariat requested the member universities to designate a representative to sign the letters of support. On the page of the VI Research Pitches Contest, the information provided by these institutions has been published.

As in previous calls, the CGU will award prizes to the three candidates whose pitch best communicates the relevance of their research and its contribution to society. The prizes have an economic endowment of 1,000, 600 and 300 euros gross amount. Furthermore, during the presentation ceremony at which the winning pitches will be screened during the XXVIII CGU General Assembly, the laureates will receive a diploma of recognition and will be able to express their gratitude for the distinction.

The candidatures submitted to the contest will be evaluated by a jury composed of the CGU’s President, Marek Kręglewski; the Vice-President Inmaculada Fortanet, and the Executive Secretary, Teresa Carballeira Rivera. Three member universities of the network will also be invited to designate their representatives in this body.
