Prof. Dr. D. Rubén Lois González
Catedrático de la Universidade de Santiago de Compostela
El profesor Rubén Lois es doctor en Geografía con Premio Extraordinario por la Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC) y gran especialista en ordenación del territorio.
Catedrático de Análisis Geográfica Regional, es también coordinador en la Universidade de Santiago de Compostela del Grupo ANTE (GI-1871: Grupo de Investigación de Análisis Territorial), un órgano interdisciplinar de docentes e investigadores de la USC formado por geógrafos, economistas e historiadores, que tiene el reconocimiento de Grupo de Excelencia Investigadora por su dinamismo y colaboración con otras entidades, tanto universitarias, centros tecnológicos y centros de estudios no universitarios como entidades locales, empresas o asociaciones.
Desde los noventa, el profesor Rubén Lois es miembro del Comité Científico del Instituto Universitario de Estudios y Desarrollo de Galicia (Idega), en el que ejerce como coordinador del área de trabajo Estudios Territoriales y Ordenación del Territorio, miembro del Consejo Editor de la colección Documentos de Trabajo del Idega y coordinador del área de Geografía.
Desempeñó cargos de responsabilidad institucional como el de decano de la Facultad de geografía e Historia de la Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, y de responsabilidad política como el de director general de Turismo en la Xunta de Galicia, donde impulsó líneas de actuación sobre ordenamiento y diversificación de la oferta turística.
Ha participado en más de cuarenta proyectos de investigación sobre ordenación, distribución planificación y desarrollo territorial, modelos de gestión y soluciones institucionales y financieras, turismo sostenible, integración rural, y otras materias en torno a territorio, patrocinados por organismos públicos y privados, tales como la Agencia Española de Cooperación para el Desarrollo (AECID), el Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad en España, el Centre Maurits Coppieters del Parlamento Europeo, el Instituto Noruego para la Investigación de la Naturaleza – NINA, entre otros.
Autor de más de ochenta libros y capítulos de libros y de más de cuarenta artículos publicados en revistas científicas.
Prof. Dr. D. Sergio Moreno Gil
Profesor de la Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
El profesor Sergio Moreno es especialista en marketing turístico y dinamización de destinos.
Asesor experto en turismo de la Comisión Europea (EASME), ejerce de profesor de la Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) desde 1998. Es director de la División de Marketing del Instituto Universitario de Turismo y Desarrollo Económico Sostenible (TIDES) de la ULPGC, y director de Relaciones Institucionales de la Cátedra UNESCO de Planificación Turística y Desarrollo Sostenible.
Cuenta con el reconocimiento de Colegiado de Honor del Colegio Oficial de Profesionales en Turismo de Canarias (COPTURISMO), ha sido acreditado y certificado como diseñador y facilitador de educación para profesionales del Swiss Education Group Professional, en Mountreax y Leysin, Suiza, y logró el Premio de la Asociación Española de Expertos Científicos en Turismo (AECIT) al Mejor Artículo de Investigación en Turismo en el 2018: “New trends in information search and their influence on destination loyalty: Digital destinations and relationship marketing” (Nuevas tendencias en la búsqueda de información y su influencia en la fidelización de los destinos: Los destinos digitales y el marketing relacional).
Miembro consultivo además de diferentes asociaciones, comités editoriales y revisores, y mesas y comités de expertos turísticos, su trayectoria le ha llevado a participar en proyectos de planes estratégicos, marketing, dinamización, mejora de la imagen y dinamización turística y en seminarios y conferencias financiados por la Comisión Europea, el Gobierno de España, el Gobierno de Guinea Bissau, agencias de cooperación internacional, la UNESCO y diversas entidades bancarias, entre otras instituciones.
Su trayectoria le ha llevado a escribir más de una veintena de libros y 35 artículos en revistas internacionales, así como a ser invitado a impartir seminarios y conferencias regularmente en diferentes universidades, organismos y empresas en más de treinta países del mundo.
Profa. Dra. Dña. María de los Ángeles Piñeiro Antelo
Profesora Ayudante Doctora de la Universidade de Santiago de Compostela
María de los Ángeles Piñeiro Antelo es Profesora Ayudante Doctora en el Departamento de Geografía de la Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC) y secretaria del Instituto Universitario de Estudios y Desarrollo de Galicia (IDEGA).
Es doctora en Geografía por la Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC) (2015) y tiene un máster en Ordenación y Desarrollo Territorial por la misma universidad (2002) y en Sistemas de Información Geográfica por la Universidad de Huelva (UHU) (2016).
Directora del Instituto de Estudios Turísticos de Galicia (IETG) entre 2007 y 2009, y secretaria del Centro de Estudios Turísticos de la USC (CETUR) de 2018 a 2020, acumula más de 10 años de experiencia profesional en el ámbito universitario en gestión de proyectos y contratos de investigación de ámbito europeo, estatal y regional.
Se ha formado como investigadora en el Grupo de Investigación ANTE (GI-1871) de la USC y sus líneas de investigación se centran en desarrollo local, en especial en pesca y política pesquera en Galicia y Europa, temática sobre la que ha trabajado en varios proyectos de investigación, entre los que destacan: “Territorial Impacts of European Fisheries Policy” (Repercusiones territoriales de la política pesquera europea), financiado en el bienio 2005-2007 por ESPON-European Observation Network for Territorial Development and Cohesion (Red de Observación Europea para el Desarrollo y la Cohesión Territorial) de la Comisión Europea; “Seaside Reorientation Activities (SEREA)” (Actividades de Reorientación del Mar), financiado entre 2006 y 2008 por la Comisión Europea; o “Fisheries Governance. Ocean Governance for Sustainability” (Gobernanza de la pesca. Gobernanza de los océanos para la sostenibilidad), con el apoyo de la European Cooperation in Science and Technology (Cooperación Europea en Ciencia y Tecnología) (COST Action CA 15217 2016-2020).

Prof. Dr. D. Ángel Lobo Rodrigo
Profesor de la Universidad de La Laguna
El profesor Ángel Lobo Rodrigo es jurista y doctor en Derecho Administrativo por la Universidad de La Laguna (ULL) con la tesis “La implantación de redes de telecomunicaciones en archipiélagos: su articulación con el ordenamiento territorial y urbanístico” y gran especialista en gestión de recursos turísticos marinos y costeros.
En la actualidad es profesor en la Universidad de La Laguna en el departamento de Disciplinas Jurídicas Básicas del área de Derecho Administrativo. Destaca su labor en los proyectos de investigación ProID2017010128. “Inteligencia turística para un turismo marino responsable”-INTURMAR y DER2012-32911 “El impacto de la crisis en la contratación pública. ¿Está en peligro el contrato administrativo?”.
Como especialista en ordenación del territorio y gestión de costas, cuenta con cuarenta publicaciones, incluyendo artículos, capítulos de libro, aportaciones a congresos, otros escritos investigadores y cuatro libros con editoriales especializadas en obras jurídicas, dos de ellos con Tirant lo Blanch titulados “Estudios sobre ordenación, gestión e intervención en el territorio” y “La ordenación y gestión de las playas: especial referencia a los usos turístico-deportivos”; y otros dos en Montecorvo titulados “La ordenación territorial y urbanística de las redes de telecomunicación” y “La ordenación territorial y urbanística de las redes de telecomunicación”.
Es además presidente de la federación de surf de las Islas Canarias y vicepresidente de la federación nacional de surf, así como codirector de la First Conference on the Protection of the Waves as a Natural, Economic and Sports Resource. Ha compaginado esta actividad con diversos cargos de gestión en la Universidad de La Laguna.

Rail
From Santa Justa Station in Seville there are rail connections with several Spanish cities (Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga, etc.) by the Alta Velocidad Española-AVE (Spanish high speed train) and with other European cities by the International AVE.
Local transport
There are available several types of tickets and travel cards in the city, among them the so-called “Tarjeta Consorcio de Transportes”, which allows you to travel on the metro, tramway and local bus.
Bus: There are about 50 metropolitan bus lines operated by Tussam with which you can access any point of the city of Seville, between 6.00 am and 11.00 pm. The closest stops to the venue of the event are: Puerta Jerez, Paseo Colón – Jardines Cristina and Prado de San Sebastián.

Metro: Seville has a metro line every day between 6:00 am and 11:30 pm approximately. A quick and easy way to move around the city. The closest station to the venue of the event is Puerta Jerez.

Coexistence of civilizations
Seville, the Andalusian capital on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, has a rich and diverse cultural legacy presided over by the Cathedral, the Archive of the Indies and the Real Alcázar, a Historic-Artistic complex declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987.
A land of Phoenician, Tartessian, Roman, Visigoth, Arab and Christian ancestors, in Seville modernity and history go hand in hand to offer an enclave full of social and cultural richness.
The cultural activity ‘Coexistence of civilizations’, which will open the programme of the meeting on Thursday 21 September, aims to bring the infinite diversity that reigns in Seville closer to all the participants of the XXIX General Assembly of the CGU who wish to get to know it.
Satellite Networking Event
The CGU community participating in the XXIX General Assembly will be welcomed, if they wish, at the Satellite Networking Event to be held, on 19-20 September 2023, at the International Campus of Excellence ‘Andalucia Tech’ that the University of Seville shares with the University of Malaga in this city (Malaga, Spain).
