History and objectives

University La Salle opened its doors on 15th February 1962, with the relocation of Preparatoria del Colegio Cristóbal Colón de la Colonia San Rafael to Hipódromo Condesa. In May of this same year its conversion into a Higher Education Centre, which is the first La Salle University in Latin America.

University La Salle is an institution of higher education of Christian humanist inspiration committed to social change, with an international focus and impact. It promotes the training and integral development of its students through innovative and multidisciplinary academic programs, which develop, consolidate and link the university roles of teaching, research and extension, under efficient governance and administrative support.

Governing bodies

The governing bodies of University La Salle are the Governing Board, formed by the Rector and Vice-Rectors, and the University Council.

Grounds

The Mexico City Campus is composed of five units with more than 100 thousand m2 and 40 buildings, where students find an ideal environment to develop their academic and personal skills.

Academic calendar

The academic calendar is divided into two periods. The first runs from August to December and the second from January to June.

Academic programmes

The academic programmes of La Salle University include 37 graduate, 32 master and three doctoral programmes.

International programmes

La Salle is a global network of education, research and innovation. Students have the possibility of integrating into the global culture and internationalising their academic training.

The network has established agreements with more than 200 universities in the world to carry out academic exchanges in the different degree programmes, research summers and professional internships. Among others, it has agreements with academic institutions in Germany, Australia, Argentina, Belgium, Belarus, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Spain, the United States, the Russian Federation, the Philippines, France, Israel, and Italy.
