Unizar, in collaboration with Banco Santander, is awarding 12 grants in the twentieth edition of this initiative.

The University of Zaragoza (Unizar) and Santander Bank announce the ‘Call for grants for Latin Americans and Equatorial Guineans in doctoral studies. University of Zaragoza-Santander Universities’ for the academic year 2023-2024. The aim of these 12 grants is to support the beneficiaries in their career towards obtaining a doctorate degree from Unizar.

With this initiative, Unizar seeks to expand and reinforce the relations established with other institutions and universities, especially in Latin America and Equatorial Guinea. Furthermore, it considers that it contributes to its institutional strengthening and favours the access of graduates to its official doctoral studies. Besides, they point out that the “call for applications will benefit the work and performance for the future of the doctorate and for their countries”.

In this twentieth edition, the general and excellence grants are maintained. Both are aimed at recent graduates in studies leading to a doctorate in a higher education institution in Equatorial Guinea or in one of the countries of the Ibero-American Community of Nations, with the exception of Andorra, Spain and Portugal. In the case of grants for excellence, applicants must accredit outstanding training in their area of knowledge.
