The Peruvian University of Applied Sciences and CETT are cooperating in the organisation of this event, which will be held online from 8 to 9 November 2023. 

The III Latin American Congress of Research in Hospitality and Restaurant Business will be held online from 8 to 9 November 2023. This event is co-organised by the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences, the Externado University of Colombia, the Anáhuac University Cancún and the CETT Barcelona School of Tourism, Hospitality and Gastronomy. The latter is the host of the third edition.

The aim of the event is to bring together academic staff, students and professionals interested in hotel and restaurant business research so that they can discuss advances in these areas. In addition to providing theoretical elements to the industry from the academic sphere, with the aim of increasing its competitiveness and sustainability.

The academic keynote speakers for this third edition are Sara Dolnicar from the University of Queensland and Juan Luis Nicolau from Virginia Tech Pamplin College of Business. Patricia Boo, STR’s Regional Director for Central and South America, will also speak on the state of the hotel industry.

The main themes of the congress are consumer satisfaction and behaviour, economics, revenue management, digital marketing, new technologies, human resources, crisis management and sustainability in both sectors.

Attendance at the event is free and registration can be formalised through the electronic form available on the website of the III Latin American Congress of Research in Hospitality and Restaurant Business. Moreover, the organisation invites all those interested in presenting their research at the event to submit their papers. There will be two rounds of submissions, the first until 31 March and the second until 31 May.
