The Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznan organises the Ph.D. Supervisor: a Master, a Partner or a Service Provider? Challenges of Doctoral Education Meeting on 28 June 2019 in Poznan (Poland), with the support from SGroup and Compostela Group of Universities.

This one-day meeting, held in the framework of the 100th anniversary of the institution, is devoted to the exchange of best practices in the area of doctoral education. Thus, a select circle of experts from several European universities shall present a composite picture of the hands-on experience with doctoral education. Besides, invited speakers will have eight 40 minutes slots for presentation and discussion, and the main language of the event will be English.

The Doctoral Education Meeting, which aims to bring together members from the networks SGroup and Compostela Group of Universities, will the focus on topics such as the structure of the doctoral school as well as the relation between the Ph.D. student and the supervisor. Because of that, it is designed as a workshop for Deputy Rectors, Deans for Graduate Studies and Heads of Doctoral Schools rather than a training session as such.
