The deadline for sending applications for the grants and mobility within the Stella programmes of the Compostela Group of Universities is the first fortnight of March.

The application period for the Stella for Staff and Stella Junior programmes closes on 10 and 17 March 2023 (12:00 PM – noon. Peninsular Spanish time), respectively. At the end of this deadline, those who have submitted their candidatures will receive an email confirming their receipt. Afterwards, the Executive Secretariat of the Compostela Group of Universities (CGU) will review them in order of arrival and will send them a message with a copy of the documentation submitted. This email will specify the period available to make any changes to their applications. For this reason, the CGU recommends you keep an eye on your inboxes.

The Stella for Staff programme is one of the network’s longest-running initiatives, having been set up more than 20 years ago to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices among administrative staff at member universities through mobility exchanges. Since 2012, the partner institutions of the Consortium for North American Higher Education Collaboration (CONAHEC) and their teams have been able to participate in it, following the signature of a collaboration agreement for this activity.

Finally, after the withdrawal of some of the placement offers submitted by the universities, in the 2023 call administrative staff can choose among 65 positions in 27 member institutions of the CGU and CONAHEC. These offers belong to the areas of internationalisation, academic management, student services, libraries, communication, culture, human resources, general counsel and research.

Moreover, staff from the CGU member universities are eligible to receive one of 16 grants with a financial endowment of 1,000 euros awarded by the network.

As for the Stella Junior programme, it is a younger initiative, which is now in its 12th edition. This programme allows students from the CGU member universities to broaden their training and knowledge through short stays in the departments of the network’s institutions. In this edition, students will be able to choose among 36 places in 13 CGU member institutions. The placement offers come from the areas of internationalisation, research and academic management.

In this programme, candidates can apply for one of the 10 grants with a financial endowment of 400 euros granted by the network.
