Research staff from eleven member institutions of the Compostela Group of Universities submit their candidatures for the 2023 edition of the research pitches contest.
The VII Research Pitches Contest of the Compostela Group of Universities (CGU) experiences a 100% increase compared to the geographical diversity of the participating institutions in the previous call. Specifically, the research staff who competed in the 2023 edition came from universities based in six countries, while last year three countries were represented. These countries are Spain, Hungary, Mexico, Poland, Portugal and Sweden.
There was also a 10% increase in institutional participation. Research teams from ten member universities participated in last year’s edition compared to eleven in this year’s edition.
In terms of the volume of applications, the VII Research Pitches Contest has not been able to beat the record of the previous call. This year’s applications show a slight decrease of 13% compared to 2022. However, they outnumber all previous editions, with the exception of the one mentioned above.
Regarding the review of the applications, the CGU Executive Secretariat finalised the process a few days ago and is giving concurrent research staff ten working days to submit the required corrections and optional improvements. Once the deadline has expired, the materials will be prepared for the jury, which will issue a resolution in May 2023.
