For universities

The Compostela Group of Universities has a wide variety of activities and initiatives aimed at different members of the university community, from rectors to students. In the last two years, the CGU has launched initiatives such as forums and meetings in which the following members of this community are invited to participate:

  • They receive training and put into practice the knowledge acquired during their participation in the activities, in which they live with students from other countries.
  • They provide training and exchange experiences with students and colleagues from the same field of study.
  • They confirm the commitment of their universities through the signing of declarations related to the quality of Higher Education, sustainable development and social innovation.

Tresemes Project

The 3M project is integrated into the Impulsa Programme, which is included in the CGU Strategic Plan 2024-27, and seeks to position the CGU as a global actor at the service of the community, through its Key Action 5 – Embracing and developing close connections to other organisations, groupings or networks, and its Key Action 6 – Developing complementarity with other initiatives or networks.

General Assembly

The General Assembly is the forum for the discussion of current issues in the form of plenary sessions and working groups.

Ordinary meetings of the Group’s General Council are held annually and are rotated among the various member universities.

See the previous General Assemblies.

International Meeting of Rectors

The aim of these meetings is to create a space for the exchange and sharing of knowledge and experiences, as well as cultural visits to the venue. The meetings are aimed at rectors and presidents of CGU member universities to promote dialogue and debate on different issues concerning higher education.
