Inmaculada Fortanet-Gómez is a PhD Doctor in English Philology by the University of Valencia (Spain) since 1993 and is a permanent lecturer since 1995. She has the qualification for a full professorship since 2013. She teaches English Language in English Philology, and Business English in Business Administration and in the Master English Language for International Trade (ELIT). Since 2010, she also teaches at the Master for Secondary Education.
Professor Fortanet-Gómez served as Vice-Rector for International Relations in the Jaume I University (Spain) from 1997 to 2001 and later, from 2010 to 2018, as Vice-rector for Internationalization, Cooperation and Multilingualism. Likewise, she has held several positions at the Spanish Conference of Rectors (CRUE), and since 2010 she is the Vice-President of the Compostela Group of Universities.
Her research interests are focused on the study of academic English and Business English, Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), and the multimodal analysis of discourse.
