The president of the Compostela Group of Universities, Marek Kręglewski, will represent the network at the Virtual Conference ‘Rebuilding the Global Village’, organised by CONAHEC and AMPEI in the first week of December. 

The Compostela Group of Universities (CGU) will be represented on Wednesday 2 December by its president, Marek Kręglewski, in the Virtual Conference ‘Rebuilding the Global Village’, organised by the Consortium for North American Higher Education Collaboration (CONAHEC) and the Mexican Association of International Education (AMPEI). The President of the CGU will speak at the virtual reception ‘Leveraging Higher Education Networks for International Engagement’ along with representatives of other university networks.

The meeting will also feature speakers from member institutions of the GCU, such as the Director of International Programmes at the University of Monterrey, Thomas Buntru; the Rector of CETYS, Fernando León García; or the Rector of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, Luis Alberto Fierro.

This virtual conference will take place from 1 to 5 December 2020 and its programme includes activities such as workshops, thematic sessions and networking. During these activities, the focus will be on topics such as internationalisation at home, successes and challenges in adapting to the effects of the pandemic, the use of ICT for international collaboration in teaching and learning, or crisis management in international higher education.

Participation in this event is open to representatives of higher education institutions and students, who can either complete a full-registration or select only those workshops of his/her interest. A discount code was sent by email by the Compostela Group of Universities Executive Secretariat to the members of the network, who must introduce it during registration in order for it to be applied. Those persons from institutions affiliated to the network who have not received this code can request it by sending a message from their institutional e-mail to the CGU.
