The Compostela Group of Universities is adapting the Stella for Staff programme, aimed at promoting mobility among the service staff of the network’s members, to the new reality outlined by the global pandemic.

The Compostela Group of Universities (CGU) has published today the 2021 call of its Stella for Staff mobility programme for services staff, in which the main change is the incorporation of the virtual modality for professional stays. In order to carry them out, the CGU will incorporate a tool in its social network Composnet in the coming months.

After being forced to cancel the last call due to the global pandemic, the network is committed to the coexistence of the in-person and virtual modalities, in an effort to guarantee the continuity of mobility and facilitate compliance with the socio-health recommendations of the global authorities. Thus, it will be the member universities of the CGU and CONAHEC networks who will decide whether to offer in-person or virtual mobility, when submitting their placement offers and according to the recommendations of the health authorities. These offers must be submitted using the electronic form available on the Stella for Staff programme page and they have until 4 February 2021 (12:00 PM GMT) to do so.

As in previous calls, only staff from a CGU or CONAHEC member university that has submitted at least one placement offer is eligible for mobility. Furthermore, the grants awarded by the CGU within the framework of this programme are reserved for service staff from its member universities.

The budget allocated for grants in the 2021 call is 18,000 euros, which will be distributed through the individual grants until it is exhausted. Grants in-person mobility will have a budget of 1,000 euros each, while for the virtual modality it will be 300 euros per grant.

Candidates will be able to submit their applications for grants and mobility after the publication of the placement offers on the website of the Compostela Group of Universities, which will take place in the week following the deadline for submission of these by the universities.

All the information about the deadlines, the documentation and the guidelines of the call are available on the Stella for Staff programme page on the website of the Compostela Group of Universities.
